Incredibly Well Written Book On A System Of Symbiotic Lead Generation

This book describes a system of prospecting using webinars, podcasts and a type of joint venture marketing that benefits everyone involved.

First, the bad news. This book is promotional in nature. The author doesn't hide that. It just means that the book was written as a tool to engage you, and with the aim of you investing in further services.

But then, aren't all books on marketing a tool of marketing. It just means the author practices what he preaches. And he does. Just to online to see the podcasts the author has been on, as both a guest and host. Very revealing and instructional on their own.

Another bad news. You won't be able to read the book, and just implement all the ideas and systems presented. Not unless you are a person who will understand how to implement all this on your own. The book is a sort of highly informative long form sales letter for services available.

The good news? It's brilliantly written. It's obvious that the author has some real copywriting skills. And every idea that he presents is sold completely and expertly. I don't mean he's pulling one over on us. I mean he's really an expert that knows how to explain in a very clear and convincing manner.

And the system he explains is, once it is set up, a real viable way to provide a steady stream of interested prospects who are qualified, and already know about you, like what they see, and are proven to be the kind of ideal prospects that are highly likely to buy from you. A /guru/professional/salesperson's dream.

The author has several other books that cover the same territory, the same system. But each one adds information to the puzzle. This is the first one I've read, and it was so good, I bought the rest of his lead generation books. These are books you study.

As a consultant, I've gotten and read several of Tom's books on Inbound marketing, Leadssology / invisible marketing (using webinars), etc. He emphasizes that a potential client will not engage you, the consultant, until they know about you, your successes, fees, deliverables, fit. etc. I have always believed that cold-calling doe not work in consulting. Tom offers immediately actionable steps to start to direct potential clients to you, having already gotten an idea of how you work and a possible fit between you and them / their needs. While some argue that his books are designed to serve the same purpose as his free information webinars, i.e., drive business to him, which is true, they provide useful tools for the provider to give the potential client a "taste" of how you work without obligatiin, a win-win. Especially for those in the service fields, consulting, coaching, etc. his books are a must read.
